高性能煤基活性炭的制备与性能评价

Preparation and Evaluation of High Performance Coal-Based Activated Carbon

摘要: 针对煤基活性炭性能不佳的问题,以太西煤(TX)和灵武煤(LW)为原料,通过对配煤、炭化、活化等工艺的优化,从而制备一种高性能活性炭,并对制备的活性炭进行孔结构表征和柴油吸附脱硫性能评价。结果表明,该活性炭制备的优化工艺条件为:配煤质量比为89%TX+11%LW、活化剂(KOH)质量分数0.8%、炭化温度600 ℃、升温速率为10 ℃/min;活化温度850 ℃。改进工艺后煤基活性炭的比表面积和微孔面积与椰壳活性炭相近,分别为984.94 m2/g和713.30 m2/g;其吸附脱硫性能达到或超过了椰壳活性炭的性能。

Abstract: An innovated high-performance coal-based activated carbon was prepared with using Taixi (TX) and Lingwu (LW) coals as raw materials through optimized blending, carbonization and activation processes. This innovated activated carbon was aimed to overcome the shortcomings of coal-based activated carbon. Furthermore, the micro-pore structure and diesel adsorption desulfurization performance of the prepared activated carbon were also characterized and evaluated, respectively. Experimental results show that the optimized coal blending mass ratio of 89%TX+11%LW, activator (KOH) addition mass fraction of 0.8%, the optimized carbonization temperature, heating rate and activation temperature are 600 ℃, 10 ℃/min and 850 ℃, correspondingly. BET characterization results show that the specific surface area and micropore area of the innovated activated carbon (i.e., 984.94 m2/g and 713.3 m2/g, respectively) are similar to those of activated carbon from coconut shells. Especially, the absorption desulfurization performance of the prepared activated carbon is similar or better than that of activated carbon from coconut shells.
